Sunday Brunch in SouthPark

An unhurried morning culture of courtyard tables, second pots of coffee, and the city's most refined late-breakfast service.

The Ritual

Sunday belongs to SouthPark.

Brunch in SouthPark is not an event — it is a standing weekly appointment. From the Phillips Place courtyards to the chef-driven Morrison Boulevard rooms, Sunday morning here moves at a deliberate pace: 10 a.m. coffees stretching to 1 p.m. plates, conversations that drift across two courses, and a service culture that treats the lingering table as the highest compliment.

The district's brunch identity is built on three pillars: French technique (eggs benedict, croque madame, brioche French toast), Southern provenance (country ham, stone-ground grits, biscuits at proper temperature), and a wine and cocktail program that takes Sunday morning seriously — the negroni is on the menu, and it is well made.

Phillips Place

The courtyard culture.

Phillips Place's open central courtyard is, for nine months of the year, the most coveted brunch real estate in the city. Toscana's umbrella tables, Palm's bar tables on the perimeter, and the fountain itself create a Mediterranean-village quality that no purpose-built lifestyle center has quite replicated.

Tables face inward — children chase each other along the cobbles, leashed dogs sleep beside chair legs, and the rhythm of arrivals and departures runs from 10 a.m. straight through to 2 p.m. without a discernible peak.

On the Sunday table

The point of SouthPark brunch is not the food. The point is that the food is good enough to disappear, leaving only the conversation, the courtyard, and the second carafe of rosé.
