Four of the Southeast's most selective independent schools sit within ten minutes of SouthPark, making the area unusually deep in K-12 private options.

Charlotte Country Day School

Founded 1941. JK–12, ~1,700 students on a 60+ acre Carmel Road campus. Country Day is consistently the strongest matriculation list in the region, with Ivy League, Duke, Stanford, and top liberal-arts placements in measurable numbers each year.

Strengths: athletics (NCISAA powerhouse), STEM, arts. Application timeline: October testing for August enrollment.

Charlotte Latin School

Founded 1970. TK–12 on Providence Road. Latin's combination of classical curriculum, strong arts (the Cato Center for the Arts is the region's best independent-school arts facility), and championship athletics has made it the most-applied-to Charlotte independent school in several recent cycles.

Providence Day School

Founded 1970. TK–12 on Sardis Road. The only Charlotte independent school offering the full IB Diploma Programme; particularly strong in global studies, world languages, and entrepreneurship.

Catholic Options

Charlotte Catholic High School (Pineville-Matthews Rd) is the region's flagship Catholic college-prep. Christ the King Catholic High School in Huntersville draws north-side families. Elementary options include Our Lady of the Assumption and St. Patrick.
